Partnering with a global manufacturer.
Pentair is a French-owned multinational that manufacture a huge range of industrial products. In New Zealand, their operation focuses on the manufacture of stainless steel flow control valves – the sort you’d find in a dairy factory or a large brewery.
Pentair sends these all over the world by airfreight and DoubleEco have been helping them get these products from ‘a-to-b’ since 2012.
We supply Pentair with two sizes of cardboard crates with two wall heights for each footprint, thus giving them 4 different ‘sizes’ in which to pack.
This replaced a warehouse full of premade wooden crates. Plus it significantly reduced airfreight costs due to the major weight savings benefits of cardboard.
On top of that, our cardboard crates gave Pentair the ability to ‘tune’ the volume down by using the different height walls, plus ultimately, if there is excess height – they could cut it off with a knife.
Our unique cardboard freight product has stood the test of time and our responsive service has helped us build a strong working relationship.
